What a beautiful day for a first trip to Hagerman!
Tons of Snow Geese, mostly whites and interesting Morphs with Ross's mingling in, looking like small sheep grazing in the grass.
Buffleheads, Pintails, Great Blue Herons, Northern Shovelers, Yellowlegs, Cormorants, lots of Gulls, a few American White Pelicans, American Coots, Killdeer, Mallards, Eastern Meadowlarks, White-Crowned Sparrows, what I think was a Red-Tailed Hawk inside the Refuge, and a few on telephone poles on the way back to Dallas.
This Great Blue Heron:
My first BIF shots!:
This Juvenile White-Crowned Sparrow:
This Adult White-Crowned Sparrow:
I look forward to going back in the Spring!
(Thanks to Betsy for help with IDing the Sparrows)
